Learn to draw from a model or improve your skill and/or build your portfolio. Class will consist of 1 hour of instruction prior to models arrival, then 2 hours of drawing with model

Participants must supply materials,( drawing boards and some easels available)
John La Falce was born and raised in Buffalo New York and has been an artist in residence at Bluseed Studios since last summer. His work encompasses an array of media and projects an “open approach” in style, content and purpose. He received his BFA in Painting in 2002 from Buffalo State College. In recent years he has been traveling with his art among these projects being the “Combat Paper Project” where he is a collaborator and participating artist working with returning Iraqi veterans.

Print Making Workshop
Adult Photocopy Litho Workshop: ages 16 and up

Dates:  three-week session: Mondays:12,19&26
6-9pm
Price: $65 includes material, ink and 1 sheet of 22×30 Somerset paper. Not included: photocopy expenses.
Minimum: three people
This workshop will introduce students to the technique of photocopy lithography, a printmaking process that utilizes photocopies as the basic print matrix. The student will have the opportunity to put this process into practice via demonstrations by the instructor and open studio time. Each participant can expect to create a several final images in at least two colors.

Ceramic Artist Peter Shrope will conduct an eight-week class this fall at Bluseed Studios that encourages personal growth and exploration for intermediate to advanced ceramic students. This class will focus on personal technique, form and glaze chemistry; all centered on using the new gas fired kiln.
The addition of the new gas fired kiln significantly broadens the capabilities of Bluseed’s ceramic facilities. The Olympic gas-fired kiln produces results that are significantly different than the electric kiln. It is a tool to use, a technique to learn and offers an extraordinary experience to all students wishing to further their knowledge of the ceramic process. Be prepared to have your expectations tested.
