<p>Learn to draw from a model or improve your skill and/or build your portfolio. Class will consist of 1 hour of instruction prior to models arrival, then 2 hours of drawing with model</p>
<p>Dates: 6/8, 6/10,6/15, 6/17, 6/22,6/24</p>
<p>Participants must supply materials,( drawing boards and some easels available)</p>
<p>John La Falce was born and raised in Buffalo New York and has been an artist in residence at Bluseed Studios since last summer. His work encompasses an array of media and projects an &ldquo;open approach&rdquo; in style, content and purpose. He received his BFA in Painting in 2002 from Buffalo State College. In recent years he has been traveling with his art among these projects being the &ldquo;Combat Paper Project&rdquo; where he is a collaborator and participating artist working with returning Iraqi veterans.</p>

<p><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial"><span style="font-family: 'gill sans'; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'gill sans'; font-size: 12pt;">Bluseed Studios will be hosting a 5-week handmade tile and plaster press mold workshop by clay artist Brooke Noble. In this class, students will focus on creating original tiles with a high-relief dimensional pattern. Once the tile pattern has been determined, students will learn how to make a simple plaster press mold in order to make multiple tiles. The end result may be a one of a kind fireplace, backsplash, wall hanging or single tiles that can function in several ways. We will discuss the possibilities of installation and additional projects that may stem from this technique. Come with ideas, inspiration from a source or an absolute open-mind.</span></span></font></font></p>

<div><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial"><span style="font-family: 'gill sans'; font-size: 12pt;">Brooke Noble (b. 1979) received her B.F.A. from Syracuse University and attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois for her M.F.A. Between degrees, she was a resident artist at three studio art centers: Vermont Clay Studio, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, (CO.) and Bluseed Studios of Saranac Lake, NY. Ceramics has taken Noble to many destinations both nationally and internationally. Highlights for her include kiln-building at Good Hope Plantation in Jamaica and Studying Abroad in Oaxaca State, Mexico during Graduate School. Brooke&#39;s work has been exhibited in many reputable galleries nationwide and she also enjoys teaching classes and workshops to both adults and children in the Adirondack communities Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, NY. Noble is passionate about her surroundings and values the social interaction of making and sharing a meal while taking part in the daily ritual of utilizing handmade pots, commonly made by someone she holds dear. </span></font></font></div>

His work can be found in many collections including The University of Vermont Bailey Library, Dartmouth College Rauner Library, Brown University&rsquo;s Rockefeller Library in Providence, Rhode Island, The Library of Congress, The New York Public Library, the Penland School of Crafts Archive and The Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont. <o:p></o:p></font></font></span></div>

He has also taught at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and at The Great River Arts Institute in Bellow Falls, Vermont.
